VMware Cloud Infrastructure Architect

The newly announced VMware Cloud Infrastructure Architect certification enables professionals to showcase their technical prowess and expertise in designing and implementing cloud architecture across various environments. This certification focuses on key areas such as cloud architecture, cloud design, cloud security, and multi-cloud skills.

It equips professionals to handle tasks ranging from creating and configuring cloud resources to enhancing cloud security and architecting solutions in multi-cloud setups. This broad skill set ensures professionals are versatile and adept at managing diverse cloud environments effectively.

I just read Bart Peeters’s post and gained some exposure to the new VMware Cloud Infrastructure Administrator certifications. Here’s what Bart Peeters says about it

“Today (Friday, November 10), I had the opportunity to participate, and I just took the VMware Cloud Infrastructure Administrator beta exam (6V11-11.23). During this exam, I also signed a Nondisclosure Agreement and therefore I am unable to provide specific details about the content of the questions. This beta exam consists of an extensive number of Multiple-Choice questions, which will be used to select a smaller pool for the final exam. I personally found the exam to be enjoyable and closely aligned with the exam blueprint. This beta exam comprised a significant number of 98 questions (some with minor overlap) and allowed 165 minutes for completion. 15 minutes of the exam are reserved for an evaluation of your current knowledge level. The length of the beta phase varies, and it depends on how many times the exam has been taken. The final exam, however, will consist of a reduced number of questions chosen based on the beta testing outcomes.”

What You’ll Learn with VMware Cloud Infrastructure Certifications

If you’re familiar with VMware solutions such as vSphere, Cloud, NSX, HCX, and Cloud Disaster Recovery, you’ll find the VMware Cloud Infrastructure Administrator exam aligns well with your skills. It assesses both your theoretical understanding and practical application in configuring solutions for SDDC requirements.

Similar in structure to the VMware Cloud exam, it adds a practical dimension. While confident about your performance, remember that results are announced after the beta phase. Consider the potential cost-benefits of taking the exam during this period. Good luck in obtaining this new certification!
